Rain!!!
The rain has finally come!! It had been since the 9th of September 2007 since it had rained! Now we have had 3 rains in 2 weeks. There is activity everywhere in the fields surrounding Galmi, and all over the area. Fields are being prepared, and planted. Millet is the crop of choice here, as most use it for the main part of their diet. We are praying that the rains would be consistent and abundant this year, through until harvest time. Last year they started well, and dwindled off before the crops were ready for harvest, and therefore the harvest was very poor. As we drove back from Malbaza today after church, we noted the many people out preparing the land. It struck me that this must be a time of great hope for the people of Niger. Our hope is that they would see the TRUE hope in Jesus, and that he would supply all of their needs, both physically, but more importantly spiritually.
