Rachel had her 2nd birthday on the 28th of November! She enjoyed a sponge cake with buttercream frosting and raspberry filling on the day, and for her party with her friends the next day she had chocolate cake with buttercream frosting. One can never have too much cake! Rachel prefers the frosting, but did manage to eat some of the cake too. She had fun opening her gifts (what 2 year-old doesn't!) and sharing her celebration with her Galmi friends. It's always a treat to share birthdays with eachother! It is hard for us as parents to believe that 2 years have passed so swiftly since her arrival, and that this is her second birthday celebration in Niger!

Two years have passed swiftly with Rachel. Just wait. Emily is 9 (and a half!) and it seems to go even faster! Glad she could eat yummy cake too. We would have loved to have enjoyed that sponge cake with raspberry filling with all of you. love to all, Gina
