Ok, so it's not the traditional Christmas tree trimming here in Galmi. It was just a job that needed to be done. Last February or so Alan trimmed back our lemon tree drastically, and we had a huge crop of lemons this year. It was time to do it again, and so with two little helpers, the tree trimming began. There were no decorations for this tree trimming, unless you count the arms that were decorated with lots of scratches from the sharp thorns. Samuel got to help, and had a great time trimming as well. He also helped pull away some of the bigger branches. Rachel helped mostly by giving a play by play of the event, and doing her best not to get in the way. She also relayed any straggling lemons to the house that we'd managed to miss earlier in the year. All in all it was a success. Showers were needed afterwards, as this is an extremely dirty, dusty job. (There has been no rain since some time early in October, and the dust is a fact of life here.)
