Galmi Day School Christmas Program

Ahh, the joy of Christmas in a different culture. The Galmi Day school put on their annual Christmas program. It is a little different each year. This year there were more participants, and therefore "Aunt Cindy" was able to do much more of a varied program. The usual angels, wisemen, and Joseph, Mary and Baby Jesus were all present. There were also some very sharp looking African style shepherds, and some very hard working, stable sweeping donkeys (I got to help with designing and creting the donkey ears! What a hoot!). The whole program was glorifying to God, told of his birth, and had a wonderful element of fun for the children as well. A few african friends came with their children to see the program. It was a great time, and all of the parents managed to be able to attend (not a minor accomplishment!) Alan returned from TchinTabaraden only minutes before. He was flithy, and covered in red dirt from changing a very blown out tire along the way. He'd also had some difficulties with the car, and it was good to see him appear just as the program was beginning. The other children had fathers that were on call at the hospital, and thankfully no C-sections or emergencies came before or during the program, so all were present.
