One of our favourite places to go when we need a bit of a break is a high point that overlooks the valley where Galmi is situated. We can see a reservoir, where there is now water (it is often dry before the rains start). It is about 6-7 km. away, and has many climbing rocks for the children. We have found fossils up here as well. Not just any old fossils, fossils of sea life. Now if anyone doubts that there was a universal flood of biblical description, I would love for them to explain to me how, in the middle of the desert, there are fossils of coral, shells, etc.? Anyway, this is the place we call "Picnic Heights". We enjoyed a picnic, and a sunset there recently, and actually felt "cool" as there was a bit of a breeze.

I was in Galmi last year with a team led by Stephen Montgomery, who's been invited back to be hospital director. We set up a website you may have heard of, galmi.org, that we hope can be a central hub for fundraising and recruiting for the hospital. I just wanted to invite you to check it out, tell your friends, and, as you seem to be a decent blogger, maybe think about helping out with the site(?).
