Eggs on Steroids!!!

Eggs are eggs, right?? Well, not exactly! Here in Galmi, we are able to get a fairly consistent supply of chicken eggs. There are other edible kinds though. Maybe this is obvious to some, but maybe not to everyone. Occasionally we are given a gift of eggs from one of Alan's friends. They are always "for the children". These eggs are guinea fowl eggs. They look a bit smaller, but are lots darker in color than the chicken eggs that we get. Now by US or UK standards the chicken eggs we get here are probably on the anemic side, but compared to the guinea fowl eggs they certainly pale in comparison. It was very dramatic to see the few chicken eggs amongst the guinea fowl eggs the last time I was preparing to make scrambled eggs. The difference on the plate is also dramatic, but the picture didn't turn out well enough for me to bother posting. Let's just say they look flourescent in comparison!
