Alan and Samuel occasionally go for a spin on the airstrip together on Alan's motorbike. This is a "guy" thing to do for now, as Rachel is too small, and not yet in possession of a bicycle helmet. Before this hasn't been too much of a problem, but recently it has caused much wailing and whining on her part. Samuel is a bit too gleeful about his sister not getting a turn at times. He loves heading out with dad, and whizzing about the airstrip. I myself (Deb) have not yet been on, but did sew the nifty (albeit a bit curtain-like) motorbike seat cover, so as to keep Alan's bum from scorching on the hot vinyl seat on his rides to and from the village. He says it helps to distinguish his motorbike from others, as well as keeping him un-singed.
