Yes, it's true, Samuel is 5! He had a very good day. He got birthday kisses both from Aunt Cindy at school, and then mommy. Mommy's lipstick was waterproof, so the kisses stayed long enough for a good photo. As Samuel's birthday fell on a Wednesday, we had cinnamon buns for morning break, and then presents at lunch time, followed by birthday party at 3 o'clock. Dinner of choice was chicken (the fat Brazillian ones from Niamey) mashed potatoes and carrots. Dessert was green and red frozen yoghurt. All in all it was a good day (and a bit exhausting for mom). Rachel is looking very forward to her birthday in just a few short months.
