We headed out on Easter Sunday to sand dunes--about a 2 hour drive north and east of Galmi. The kids had fun playing in the sand. We had a very bumpy ride out and back, through some very sandy roads. Alan managed to keep us out of the sand pits. We needed and used our 4 wheel drive a lot! We hiked up one sand dune and over to another. There was a small village there, that was mostly deserted. We were told that they were off in the fields, preparing the fields for planting. They'll return next month. The children got to enjoy a donkey ride part of the way back to our vehicle.
