Ok, here we are, relaxing at the Galmi Pool. I've been told that the pool was built back in the 60's or so by the road crew that put in the main road that runs along the "bottom" of Niger. It is small, and usually some shade of green (it's difficult to keep the algae at bay with 115+ temps)but it certainly helps us deal with the heat, and puts a smile on everyone's face.
Rachel taking it easy in a floating raft...

Rachel likes to make "fishy faces" when you ask her what a fish says...

Samuel haming it up for the camera. He is starting to like the water more, and practices his kicking and "swimming" with the inflatable ring...He will jump to us from the side of the pool.

The Galmi Pool in all of it's glory and green-ness!

Glad you gusy can get some relief from the heat! I am sure the water is warm, but at least you have a reason to be wet - you're in a pool, and not just sitting in a chair or standing by the counter making supper! Love the pis of your kids! Love, Gina
