It's finally here!!

Our waiting has paid off. We are the proud owners of a 2002 Toyota Prado! We feel so blessed to have gotten such a wonderful vehicle, and in our price range too!! This is better than we could have hoped for, or planned on receiving. God is so faithful to provide abundantly for his children. We have been out on a little test drive, but this will definitely ease the cost and expense of travelling to visit our african friends in Malbaza. (It was costing about 80USD to drive about 40km!) Although there are obviously other expenses with a car, the ability to take the whole family, and others if needed, has just gotten much simpler. Interestingly enough, the color (black) often signifies government vehicles. Our team leader, James, who brought the vehicle to Galmi for us from Niamey said that he was able to flash the lights of the Prado when approaching the check points, and the barrier was let down, and he received salutes as he sped through! (instead of having to stop...)

Super cool! We had a 1991 Toyota Prado from when I was single, and than only just sold it 1 1/2 years ago. Great truck, can't go wrong with a Toyota! Now we have a Toyota 4WD van with double sliding doors. Yes, we live in a city now!
