Yes, with her 2nd birthday looming in less than a week, it was time to make the big cut! I had originally intended to do it myself, and asked "Aunt Cindy" to come over for moral support. As Cindy cuts the majority of the missionaries hair on the compound, she brought over her scissors, and I chickened out at the last minute. Rachel is now the proud owner of a cute "pixie" style hair cut. She looks like she aged 6 months in a matter of minutes. The amound of hair that actually got cut off is miniscule, but the results are dramatic. It finally looks a bit thicker, and one day in the next year we may be able to give her "pig-tails" or bobbles in her hair. She is happy right now with her barettes, miniscule in size that they are. We spent the rest of the morning walking around to show off her new "do" to all of her friends on the compound. She kept stating, "Aunt Cinny cut my hair!" Too cute.
