Recently a group from the Lake City Community Church came to Galmi to help out with a few projects here on the compound. One of the things that they did was improve the compound playground, and make it safer for the children. We received two new toddler swings, and a tire swing. They also fixed the see-saw, and roundabout (merry-go round) and replaced rotting timber on the climbing platform for the older kids, and added a set of rings to it as well. The children have been very happy to make good use of the new/fixed up playground. Rachel especially likes the toddler swing, and loves to be pushed very high. "Push me in the sky Mommy!" is shouted if I fail to push with every swing, or when I don't push hard enough. She tries to escape out the back door to head to the swings, or recruits others to push her if she can. What a blessing this has been to all of us here!
